Someone once told me that the wonderful thing about modern civilisation was how mankind had developed tremendous compassion for fellow human beings. The thing that makes us civilised, they said, is that the strong protect the weak, the haves support the have-nots, and modern education has made all these wonderful things happen.

Mother Nature and Universal Law have been around for far longer than mankind. For millions of years this planet has managed to look after itself. Species have come, evolved and disappeared again, depending on their ability to adapt, change and stay ahead of the challenges that Mother Nature imposed upon them.

During the past three hundred or so years, man was supposed to have become smart. So smart that, with all his education, science, civilisation and human rights, he has almost destroyed the very planet on which he lives. So smart that you must be dumb to use your intelligence to destroy your home when you haven’t even worked out how to find another one.

Man—and every animal that he protects and domesticates—appears to lose the ability for self-sustenance. Even the despised cockroach can look after itself without a government handout or a United Nations food truck. How smart and civilised can one be to lose the ability for self-sufficiency?

How has this happened? It wasn’t always this way.

The Bushman lived in perfect harmony with his environment and has survived, although we, their civilised neighbours, have driven them out of their natural hunting grounds into a small corner of Southern Africa—which we now want to take away while educating them into “system dependence” like the rest of us.

The way things are going, maybe we had better leave them alone, so that when we have finished destroying our civilised way of life with misguided education and so-called human rights, we will be able to go back to the Bushman, beg their forgiveness, and ask them to teach us how to coexist in nature as equal partners with all other living things on this planet.

What’s the Solution?

• One obvious and simple answer is PROTECTIONISM.
• A strong man can’t make a weak man strong.
• An intelligent man can’t give an ignorant man wisdom.
• A rich man can’t make a poor man wealthy.
• All these things are our personal responsibilities.

THERE IS NO COLLECTIVE ANSWER!

• In nature—and nature works despite mankind—everything is designed to create abundance. Only the strong and the smart survive.
• Man has broken the basic rules of nature.
• We protect the weak.
• We protect the ignorant.
• We subsidise the poor.

All we are doing is making things worse: overpopulating the planet, overgrazing the land, overexploiting natural resources, educating people out of survival skills and into system dependence, so they can be controlled and exploited by unscrupulous politicians whose only means of survival is to parasite off the “haves” while pretending to have the interests of the “have-nots” at heart.

What Is the Solution?

• The weak must learn to become strong.
• The ignorant must learn to become wise.
• The destroyers must learn to create.

Each of us must trade value with both our fellow human beings and our planet, while accepting full responsibility for the consequences of our thoughts and actions.If we cannot—if this task is too great—then we must simply perish like all the other living things that could not live up to nature’s challenge.

Wealth is the creation of a surplus beyond one’s own needs.

Only the best must survive, or mankind will perish in the quagmire of its own misguided values.
